Renewed Within

Renewed Within was taken from Romans 12:2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." I try to never forget who to thank, and who gave me this ability in the first place.

We Need You, Lord ©Kelli CatesI actually wrote the lyrics a while ago, right after the Virginia Tech massacre. There's so much hate in this world, so many people just going ballistic and murdering innocents because they feel like their voice isn't heard. And it makes me so sad, because if they simply came to know God, it wouldn't be so hard.

Stand and Fight ©Kelli CatesThis song is a response to some songs I've listened to lately that are just so crude. They're all about sex, drugs, lust, greed...and they're shamelessly promoted by artists that young children aspire to be. It breaks my heart. This song is encouraging others to stand up.

He ©Kelli CatesI love love LOVE this song. Maybe it's because I use like, at least ten different names for Jesus Christ, who knows. But I poured so much love into this song, and I hope you enjoy.

Triumphant ©Kelli CatesThis was a cry to God in a moment of depression. By the time I finished the song, my soul was calmed. It's amazing, turning prayers into poetry and music. It's a powerful form of solace.

Deliverer ©Kelli CatesThis was written as a plea on humanity's behalf...we are no deserving of His grace, Jesus suffered so much on our behalf, but we do want to meet him one day.

Heaven's Rain ©Kelli CatesWrote this in college. I needed to express myself on paper, after feeling rather moody on a cold, dreary morning, and rather unheard...but thinking of heaven always helps. :)
