He sits alone on the curb
Waiting for his life to come
By chance a miracle could occur 
And all his waiting would be done

Oh, why do you wait there?
So cold and quiet, so observant
Of everything and everywhere
And why do you wait to try?
Are you afraid that your dreams 
Are one big lie?

Tell me why
Why is it that we wait?
Tell me why
Why are we too late?

We leave our dreams at the door
What lies beyond our mind?
What are we waiting for?

She lives her life watching TV
Absorbing talent from the screen
Waiting there so helplessly
Not sure how to reach her dream
