New Sounds, New Messages

In early to mid 2012, I was finally able to hook up some new recording devices and record my keyboard straight into the computer. I at first wanted to run through all of my old songs and re-do the sound, but...my pesky inspiration got in the way, of course! ;) So, here's some new songs with a new, deeper sound. I'll add to these as soon as I fix my computer (so, give me a week or two). Until then, enjoy some of my newest inspiration.
Twilight's DanceThis was my first break into slightly hypnotic, very easy listening and somewhat mystical sounds. I was a huge fan of Enya and Loreena McKennitt about six, seven years ago, and this stems from the sounds I hear in their music. I can't wait to make more of this kind of music, I'd love to join their genre.

I PrayI was still trying to get somewhat of a soothing sound when I wrote this as well, but as you can hear, my piano roots just had to bust in and make their presence known. This song is for the moments when we feel so down, almost to the ground, the moments that we absolutely need prayer the most.

My First LoveWhew...what a ride. The first love is a happy story for some, and not such a happy story for others. The problem with love is it's not always reciprocated, and even if it is for a while, it can wane when we're not ready for it to. And sometimes, that love was just a mistake to begin with. This song holds a lot of power with me.

Leap, Little SisterThe origins of this song go waaaay back to 2007, but I just now perfected it. Yes, a song can take YEARS to write. This song was written for a dear friend of mine who had just gotten out of a bad relationship and was afraid to take a chance again. Take the chance, woman. I mean, who knows...you might fly. :)
