I'm Still Talkin'!

There are two reasons for the title to this album:
1) Thank the good Lord that my inspiration still comes in spades, and that I have breath in me to share the fruits of that inspiration!
2) Some people have treated me in what I feel is an incredibly unfair manner, and this is me basically saying "You can try to shut me up, but I'm still talkin', and I ain't goin' NOWHERE."
This album features a duet with my lovely "little sis" and co-writer, Anna-Marie. It's one of my favorites that I have ever co-written! It's called "The Storm."

The StormI've written songs about the lady, and now she's helping me with my work. Anna-Marie is a brilliant poet and lyricist (AND she creates music to boot, so it's only a matter of time before her songs are gonna reach the internet waves!) This song was half her poetry, half my music. A true co-write.

Please Forgive My FaultsWhen I feel as though I am being treated unfairly, or rudely, I tend to lash out with my words. It's like a switch is flipped, and I'm GRR Girl. I can be so destructive when I'm angry...I think we all can be. This song is my apology.

A New AdventureAny door that closes is simply telling you that an old chapter has finished and a new one must begin. And yes, sometimes there's pain and loss with the chapter that closed, but it doesn't mean that there's no happiness ahead. So, go move on and have a new adventure. :)

Poison and CharmI love this song. Really, it's probably in my top five favorites. I construct the music using only percussion instruments...marimba, vibraphone, shaker, etc. I wrote this for someone who was making the mistake of falling repeatedly for a man I like to call "Poison". Hence the title.
