The Rest of Our LivesGotta love spur-of-the-moment inspiration. :) This started with me just playing the piano intro until finally I realized I was coming up with something. That's usually what happens. :) It's one of my more favorites, just because of the happiness throughout the song.

ForeverThese lyrics were based off of texts and emails that I had used from my cousin Sheila and her previous boyfriend, Luc. Both are good friends of mine, and when they were together, I wanted to base a song off of words that OTHER people said to each other, using their words for inspiration.

Here's 2 Me and U ©Kelli CatesThis song was written for friends that I had...not lost, exactly, but had lost the strong bond I held with them previously. Instead of focusing on bitterness that the friendship had to end, I choose instead to focus on the good things...namely, the memories.

Perfect (For Me) ©Kelli CatesEveryone always tells you about the difficulties in marriage. But usually, you're so in love that you choose to ignore the warnings. Especially if you're a stubborn girl like me. This song details my feelings....yes, I have faults, and my husband does too, but we are, in fact, perfect for each other.

Desire ©Kelli CatesDesire was written for my husband. I wrote this while driving through Alabama...the wisteria hanging on the trees compelled me to write a song about beauty, but a love song came out of it. What are the odds? :) I'm proud to say that there is NO piano in this song. Makes me feel like an actual songwriter.

Faith ©Kelli CatesThis song isn't the most blatantly obvious love song, but it's a song about trials. When you fall in love, sometimes there are confessions you need to make. Sometimes those confessions aren't taken well. This song depicts my attitude when this happened to me.
